Hills Bible Church
We are a church family that consists of young and old with a mixture of many ethnic backgrounds. Hills Bible Church was formed in 2009 and moved to its current location in 2013. It is our mission to see believers: KNOW God’s Word (2 Timothy 2:15) LIVE by God’s Word (1 Peter 1:22 – 2:3) COMMIT to God’s work (Romans 12:1-2) IMPACT God’s world (Matthew 28:18-20) Our mission is to produce faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who in turn make disciples (Matt 4:19, 28:18-20). This is articulated in the following vision statement: “HBC exists to glorify God by making, maturing, and multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ in our local communities and to the least reached peoples of the earth.”

In 2024, Reuben Walters taught a class about David, one of the most prominent Old Testament characters. In this class we'll look at another one, even more prominent than David, Moses. Like David, Moses is well known in today's culture, people will know the basics of the story, whether by the Prince of Egypt, Charlton Heston's the Ten Commandments or from Sunday School growing up. But what may be missing in their understanding is how Moses foreshadows a greater Prince, a greater Shepherd and the greatest Deliverer. In this class we'll look at some of the key events in Moses' life and in a similar way to my last class, we'll be looking at what these events mean, what we can learn and how each of them connect to Christ and the gospel. We invite visitors to join us at our Wantirna, Victoria location for our services each Sunday at 8:30am and 11am. How do we grow in our faith as Christians? Paul instructs his young apprentice Timothy to “train” or discipline himself “for godliness” (1 Tim 4:7). The modern concept of “let go and let God” is foreign to the New Testament authors and must be foreign to us also. Yet, at times, we may experience dryness and fruitlessness in practices such as Bible reading, prayer, or family worship. This class aims to restore joy to our pursuit of godliness by showing how key spiritual disciplines form part of an intimate and vibrant relationship with our Saviour Jesus Christ—who is the source of all spiritual growth. We will explore disciplines such as prayer, meditation on scripture, family devotions, fellowship, confession, stewardship, and more. Come and participate in this interactive EQUIP class as we learn to grow in godliness together! We invite visitors to join us at our Wantirna, Victoria location for our services each Sunday at 8:30am and 11am.
