Hills Bible Church
We are a church family that consists of young and old with a mixture of many ethnic backgrounds. Hills Bible Church was formed in 2009 and moved to its current location in 2013. It is our mission to see believers: KNOW God’s Word (2 Timothy 2:15) LIVE by God’s Word (1 Peter 1:22 – 2:3) COMMIT to God’s work (Romans 12:1-2) IMPACT God’s world (Matthew 28:18-20) Our mission is to produce faithful disciples of Jesus Christ who in turn make disciples (Matt 4:19, 28:18-20). This is articulated in the following vision statement: “HBC exists to glorify God by making, maturing, and multiplying disciples of Jesus Christ in our local communities and to the least reached peoples of the earth.”

On Sunday, 18 February Pastor Andrew Edmonds delivered a message from Jeremiah 17:1-13 titled 'The Heart of the Problem'.
The heart of the problem is the problem of the heart, but Jeremiah 17:1-13 gives us hope that can remedy the heart problem of humanity.
The problem is the idolatrous human heart (Jeremiah 17:1-8).
The heart problem is a trust problem (Jeremiah 17:9-11).
The remedy for the heart problem is to look up (Jeremiah 17:12-13 )

On Sunday, 11 February Pastor Craig Baxter continued the series 'Genesis: God's Unveiling Plan of Redemption and Blessing' with 'Marriage According to God' from Genesis 2:18-25.
Marriage is the capstone of the family and the building block of human civilization. A society that does not honour and protect marriage undermines its very existence. Therefore, it is no mistake that imbedded within the creation of man is the creation of marriage, along with God’s purposes and plans. As with everything, we are called to follow God’s design for marriage and reject all other counterfeit designs presented by our worldly culture. In this study we learn that God redeemed us that we might serve Him in marriage as per His original design for our joy and His glory.
The purpose of marriage (v. 18)
The provision of marriage (v19-23)
The loyalty of marriage (v. 24a)
The permanence of marriage (v. 24b)
The perfection of marriage (v25)

Man Up: Embracing Biblical Masculinity
One of the most pressing needs of our time is for men to be men and embrace their masculinity. The culture has worked to crush any form of masculinity by labelling it as chauvinistic, toxic, and even harmful. As a result, we have generations of men who have lost the knowledge and will to be who they were created to be. This is not a phenomenon isolated to secular culture but one that has permeated the church. Men must embrace their manliness if the church, family, and society is to be what God calls it to be. Biblical masculinity must start young, be fought for as we grow and be modelled by those older than us. In this class men will study what Biblical masculinity looks like across the various stages of life from adolescence, young adults, marriage and all the way through to old age. Boys and men, join us as we courageously man up and embrace our God-given call to be men.

On Sunday, 4 February Pastor Craig Baxter returned to the series 'Genesis: God's Unveiling Plan of Redemption and Blessing' with 'A Picture of Paradise' from Genesis 2:4-17.
Genesis 2 describes in detail God’s work on the sixth day when He created man and placed Him in “the garden of the Lord” (Is 51:3) in Eden. The narrative describes what like is life apart from the influence and effects of sin; a picture of what life should have been. But when we place the Garden of Eden against the rest of Scripture, we understand what life will ultimately be like through Jesus Christ when He comes and restores everything. In this study we learn that Paradise is a place free from sin where we know, serve and worship God under His sovereign care.
Paradise is a place created by God
Paradise is a place where God and man relate
Paradise is a place where man serves God
Paradise is a place where man is responsible to God
